Fired up the LBGE for 1.5 inch thick chops.
Let it get to about 750, seared both sides for 2 min.
Let them rest till the EGG got down to about 450 finished cook at 4 min. per side. They were real good, seasoned with salt, pepper, and Bad Byron's Butt Rub.

Good looking chops and view you got there. Chops or pork stake are some of my favorite quick cooks. Try it with sal, cracked pepper and rosemerry somtime. You'll eather love it or hate it. I love it. Where's the lake at?

J did you know Doug West? He was a Harley rider from Magnolia. He and his wife tangled with a 18 wheeler tanker truck just up the road from my house Saturday morning. Doug was killed and his wife is in bad shape. I think truck was turning right out of the left lane and they were passing in the right lane. Really bad deal.

Not working tonight. Vacation Fri-Sun. for state ralley and today and Tues. regular off days. Did not know them but read about it in the paper. The paper said they were following the truck and it was making a right had turn. They tryed to pass on the left of truck and he ran into back of it. Did the paper screw it up as usuall? Eather way a bad deal. I really feel for his wife as she has to go on. It can happen so fast. Deer around hear scare me more than anything.

Just reread what you posted. You mean it happened on one of those passing sections like close to Vansickels store (Village 1 stop)? Makes sense then.

I'm going to try that modified TRex on the next ones I do. I did these tonight at around 325* and some were a bit dry. They looked good, though:

I noticed some long bolts mounted on your grate? Do you use these so you can add a second grate? Instructions and explanation would be appreciated. Looks like a good idea.
