I just wanted to let everyone know that I have decided to finally get an egg. I ordered the large egg from the eggfest in Norfolk, NE. I will probably pick it up in a month or so. The wait is killing me. I am originally from there so that will give me an excuse to go home also. Anyways, I just wanted to say hello to all and introduce myself. I look forward to hearing from all of you and using my egg.

    WOW a month....

Well I have an idea for you. I would get all of Dr. BBQ's books "Ray Lampe" off of Amazon. That will give you a jump start for making your own rubs. The recipes are killer  Second, I would go ahead and buy the platesetter when you pick up the egg it is a must in my book. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and buy an instant read thermometer "Thermapen". Also, check out it has a ton of great lump reviews and a ton of great recipes too and information about the egg! TRUST ME. Read this forum almost daily and when you have your egg you will be in fantastic shape.

You are just trying to keep a secret.

BTW, the Cornbread is great. Two nights ago was Chubby's brownies and your Cornbread, but not in that order.
