Got my hands on some really nice 1 3/4" prime cut strips Friday..saved em to do up Trex style tonight..marinaded these in a bourbon/soy/garlic/ginger/brown sugar marinade all day..

Nothing but Kosher salt after draining em real good..tossed on em on at around 650 for 90 secs each side...

After a 20 min rest and while I got the temp of the large down...tossed em back on for about 9 mins per side with cracked pepper and DP cow lick until I got to about 155 internal..added some romaine near the end of the roast..

I like mine medium to the well side...plopped some peppercorn butter on them right after taking tthem off and while they rested...

These were absolutely wonderful..had that nice crunchy bark to them and perfect inside..oh yeah..it was my birthday...wiffie made me a cake :woohoo: :woohoo:
