Nomex Gasket Tips

Just received a Nomex gasket from the mother ship for my large BGE. This will be my first attempt at installing a new gasket. For those of you who have installed the Nomex gasket... any tips, tricks or advice on the Nomex and what adhesive did you use?

I replaced mine and being a belt and suspenders kind of guy used the 3M spray on adhesive,.I think that was a mistake. When I do it again I will just clean real good and apply. My first attempt resulted in loose gasket on bottom and later during a high temp clean ,it glued the dome to the base.Hammer used to chime in on these questions and give good advise but I think he probably got tired of the same thing every day.Just clean it real well and you will be ok.

This was the glue doing this? Does the gasket not cover on top of the glue?
Were you using the new white nomex gasket?
