roasted artichokes and pork roast

got about 10 inches of snow here (12 mile north of boston). was cold, so the snow was basically powder and easy to shovel, thankfully.
by morning, the small egg was barely visible, but here's the snow mid-cook.
chokes were a little less than meaty. a bit dry. but what the heck.
coated them in olive oil, salt, face down in the dish with a slice of lemon and clove of garlic under each. the pork roast was pretty simple too. rosemary, parsley, garlic powder, saltz und pfeffer, dash of curry, maybe some pinches of other stuff. doan remember.
roasted around 400 degree for just about an hour. when i took out the chokes, i put the pan on the stove top and added a pat or two of butta, and made a simple sauce.
did some butternut squash on the stove top too.
good stuff, for a no-brainer cook.

I copped out on cooking last night, watched the snow fall, drank a little wine and caught up on a couple of episodes of Dexter.
We got about ten inches a little west of you, got the egg shoveled out and will be putting on the pork butts about six tonight. -
did it come straight down, like it was sifted? pretty easy storm. hopefully the last, though.ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante
