About how long would a 13lbs. bone-in prime rib take to reach 119 degrees internal temp at 225 degrees grill temp and I was going to try a reverse sear should I take the Plate setter out for the 500 degree sear?
Thank you

Leave your plate setter in for the final sear.
Regarding the initial roast, at 225 I would guess 25-30 minutes per pound.
I did a 7.6 pounder Christmas Day at 250 and it took about 4.5 hours to get to 118. -
I am a new Egger since Eggtoberfest but cooked a prime rib for Christmas using your method. I took out my plate setter when firing her up to 500 and then shut it all down. My wife, who complained when I joined this "club" still hasn't stopped raving about it- a week later. Good luck!

FireWalker,[p]Figure on about 18 minutes per pound. Use the Mad Max method and you cant't go wrong.
