my birds usually cook at close to 12 min a pound, that would be about right for your bird by the sounds of it, just put some foil on it and leave it alone, it will hold its temp for hours.

it should but if dinner isn't for a long time yet wrap the bird in foil and then old clean towels and place in a cooler. I kept a finished bird that way for over 4 hours one year due to an emergency and it was perfect!

My 20 pounder took just under 5 hours. temp @ 325º. I guess that extra 25º makes a difference.
