After yesterday's Fattie posting I was forced to product my first Fattie this morning. JD Maple (my favorite, thanks for the confirmation Mad Max), added some diced Apple, lite mustard coating & Dizzy Dust. It's on now @ 250 with some Apple & Hickory chips. Hopefully this works out well. I need a god morning feast. The Miami Hurricanes are playing their last game in the Orange Bowl today. Sad to see it go, so much history, but it's time. Sure had some great times there...football, concerts, etc.

    Wasted Words,
Only one? :) I always cooks two. I like to take a couple of slices of leftover fatty and heat them in a pan until brown on both sides and then put them on a biscuit with some cheddar cheese and some Habanero-Raspberry jelly. Yum-O![p]BTW, the diced apple in a maple fatty sounds like a great combo.[p]...ron (Smokin' In The Suburbs!)

  • Wasted Words,
My first fattie is going on in about 10 minutes, just stuffed mine with some mexican cheese and garlic, I was going the hickory and apple rout as well...best of luck!

  • TheStormyDog,[p]Great ideas...yeah only one THIS time. I wanted to make sure I was on the right track. I just happened to have some Mexican blend cheese in the fridge. ..LOL, the crowd is starting to gather in anticipation of completion. We could be in for more "the best thing I've ever had comments".

    thirdeye,
Wow! I didn't know that you and Rick had such mean streaks! :)[p]I just added fatties to my shopping list. The Egg doesn't ship until next week so I was planning on firing up the WSM tomorrow. Chuckies are on sale so I may toss on a couple of chuckies for beef sammies and add a couple of fatties to keep them company.

<p />Rick's Tropical Delight,[p]Now that's something I haven't thought of. They would fit right in with my vertical stuffed zucchini. Heheeee.[p]Will they stay vertical throughout the cook? They would be great to stuff in that position.....I can't get this next visual out of my head: studded with stuffed green (garlic or sun dried tomato are my favorites) or black olives or maybe peppers. Man, the wheels are turning now.[p]~thirdeye~
