Anybody tried this on the BGE? I've looked Hi & Low & Slow but haven't found anything.

Dut,
I would Ping Dr. BBQ.... he has a winning recipe he could give you. I couldn't find the link of the recipe... it was at one time listed on the Versus website.

Dut,
found old thread for you. read mr earls entry.
i take a whole lobster cut it in half long way scoop out the tamale put a squeeze of lemon and a pat of butter on each tail half put on grill the tails cook in the butter lemon lobster juice in little "boat" that the 1/2 shell makes the claws steam in their own juice. bit of advice, if you do this don't let the wife/kids/guests watch you take the 12 inch butcher knife and split the lobster in half they tend to get all weird "oh! you just cut that poor lobster in half how can you do that?" they never like my answers.

Dut, If you're talking about the New England, or Pacific, cold water variety, I think they're best steamed or stuffed & baked. Don't think I'd want to miss them a few minutes either way in a hot EGG. On the other hand, I've never cooked the tails of any type on a grill...[p]Rascal

Dut,[p]Houndog's "Dwell in the Shell" ranks very high in my book. I'm sure more Eggheads will agree on this one.[p]~thirdeye~

J Appledog, thanks for posting this recipe - just yesterday the hubbie was pondering on how good lobster should taste on the egg, so I was about to go on a search as to what to do with it, but now I can get cooking instead of searching. Sounds great.

never a whole one, but plenty of tails...[p]you can do them either low-n-slow for about 30-40 or medium high direct for about 10-15... just try not to overcook em.
