Finally got the green egg I've been saying I wanted for 5 years. Don't know why I waited so long, seriously. What was I thinking?! This was my third use this week and one of the best so far. It has all been thanks to lurking in this forum for so long, it got me up and running on day one with more knowledge than I'd have learned in a year. Thanks to everyone for that, and I look forward to being able to post as a happy Egg owner now. 14 pounds of Pork Shoulder, smoked for 21 hours. I'll probably put a little less rub on it next time, the bark was fairly heavy, but great once it was pulled.
thanks![p]As I put it on...

AaronInAustin,[p]Welcome to The Cult of THe Big Green Egg! Your pork shoulder looks great and I'm sure tasted just as good. Don't be a lurker, we love to hear about your successes and failures too. That's how we all learn. Good cooking to ya.

AaronInAustin,[p] Looks good, but I hope all that smoke was coming because you soaked wood chips. You don't need to soak wood chips and you want your smoke clear or very light blue.[p]
