<p />i wanted to use my medium BGE for indirect smoking, but without loosing space above the standard grid level. After a long time of scatching i came up with a bracket that is made out of stainless steel that can be dropped on the fire ring edge (total 4 brackets) and a pizza stone placed on top of the backets once the fire is hot enough (just like a platesetter. I have not tried it out yet to see what the heat will do to the shaped brackets- we'll see. :S [p]these brackets could be used on any size BGE as it hooks on the fire ring edge. The thicker the stainless steel used, the studier the bracket.[p]3449452723232%7Ffp58%3Dot%3E2327%3D8%3A3%3D677%3DXROQDF%3E2323%3A98%3A76694ot1lsi[/p][p]3449452723232%7Ffp64%3Dot%3E2327%3D8%3A3%3D677%3DXROQDF%3E2323%3A98%3A793%3C8ot1lsi[p]

Chef Arnoldi,[p]nice idea, i've gotten a lot fancier rig but the idea is the same. Next time you get a chance pick up a grid for the small. If that is too big get one for the mini and set that where you put the pizza stone. That will allow you to sear at much lower temps. You can then put on the stone replace the regular grid and do the dwell indirect. [p]Scott
