Happy Memorial Day weekend....

Finially got around to replacing gasket and installing new type bracket/hinge assy on my large BGE
Think got everything right just one question....... when the dome is fully open there is no tension on the springs, and they are loose.
Not loose enough to fall off just loose. Everything seems to be working as it should dome stays up spring under tension when dome is shut just wanted to check. Thought the springs on the older one always had a little tension on them but I️ could be mistaken
