Flame Boss 300

Hey everyone, my local Ace has a couple Flame Boss 300s on clearance for $189.95. I don't need one, but I am willing to go and pick one up for someone if they would like one. Just let me know and we can arrange payment and shipping. Have a great day!

  • That's a great price on our best selling controller. Thank you Chris for your offer to help others and your Ace dealer.

Make sure they are the kamado model if you want to use them on the BGE. Might be the universal which means you'll need a different fan kit. Still a good price though!

  • Yes. All Flame Boss controllers except model 1 and 100 are WiFi enabled.

For the life of me I can’t understand why they don’t have an adapter that eliminates the need to buy another fan kit. What if you have a Smokey mountain and an egg? Why no simple adapter kit. I asked two years ago at HPBA show and got a deer in the headlights look.

Same reason you can not just buy the $5.00 when it goes out. Only comes in the entire housing. But a good computer parts store can hook you up for less than $5 out the door.

    Thank you,

Maybe you should have come to HPBA this year!!!!!!!!!! You could have hung out with me & lovely Mrs. Rockwood in my booth, and then saw the new adapters in the FB booth!!

The 300's Universals were set up with a larger fan which had circular plug--it made it easier for 3/4" NPT fittings, which most gravity-feds, UDS, etc. had installed for a temp controller.

The 400's share the same fan, you just get different adapters in the box. The universal adapter is nothing more than a 3/4" male fitting with a square end to hang the fan in (just like you would the Kamado draft door.) Then there's the dog dish to go over the daisy wheel type intakes.

The 500 Universal has a much bigger fan than the Kamado version, but the nozzle on the fan is the same size on you can use either on any of the adapters.

Now you can buy either adapter kit, but depending on your non-kamado smoker, you may need a bigger fan depending on the size. So I guess your request worked!
