I need to replace the gasket on my egg and looking for recommendations. Do you recommend the Rutland gasket, a Nomex gasket, or the standard replacement gasket from Big Green Egg?

I recommend not replacing it. I’ve gone without for around 10 years. I use the egg at least 3 times a week and have never looked back.

Thanks for the input. I do think I want to replace it though. Just trying to determine which would be best.

Get a Rutland, install it properly, and never need another gasket.
