My wife texted me at around 4pm saying "I have no plans for dinner." Honey, say no more.
I hit up whole foods for a spatchcocked chicken, some Japanese yams, and some Poblano peppers.
Chicken got dizzy dust/salt/baking powder and cooked raised direct 375-400F for about an hour. I put the yams/peppers under but offset to not get too much chicken fat splatter. It turned out awesome. Have a look.
