A buddy gave me his recipe that called for 4 strips of hickory bacon on top of the meat. Not sure if I would cook it that way again or not. Here is a pic after 9 hours. Meat temp was 170. Pulled the bacon off and wrapped it in foil. It’s back on the Egg for a few more hours. Hopefully it turns out ok!

Guys, you won’t believe it but I forgot to take an after picture! I will say it turned out pretty good. The meat was delicious. But, the top of the butt did not end up with the real black crusty bark that I would have preferred. I will continue to enjoy the journey on my way to perfection !
