Digi Q for first time this weekend - advice?

Hey - Noob here, posting from Pittsburgh PA, a very successful Pork Shoulder cook under my belt with normal aspiration, trying a Brisket this weekend with Digi Q.

SEEMS to me you have to keep your daisy wheel closed down a bit more using a Digi Q than you would with normal aspiration so that the blower can have more of the control over everything.  That's what my guts are telling me.  Also seems like I should involve the DQ from early on in the fire creation so it doesn't get too far out of control.

Clip the BGE thermo stem?  Clip the grate?  Can I use a NORMAL probe on a probe mount clip on my grate for that port on the DQ?

Other wisdom?

Give it to me people.
