The lady is out of state for the weekend and I decided to spoil myself (she isn't a seafood eater). I didn't end up using the BGE, but warmer weather would have been great to use the egg to sear in the cast iron.
I was pretty proud if how the scallops turned out - the sear was restaurant quality. I did the filet with creamed spinach to keep it healthyish. Wine wasn't so bad either. Also, had to share a little filet with my boy. He loved it. Happy Saturday all!

Great cook and result. I'm sure another banquet is in the queue. Strike while the window of opportunity is open.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Thanks all. I have some left over ingredients, so I am looking forward to a repeat in the next day or so!

I say I'm going to cook like that when my wife leaves town but I inevitably eat like a truck driver.
