Wonder why there are no EggFest in New Jersey.

Anyone on the forum involved in organizing/promoting an Eggfest in their area?  Whats involved?

I think New Jersey needs an Eggfest

Our business has hosted one the past 3 years. I have been in charge of it since the beginning. A lot of planning goes into it. You need a good dealer, space to have the event and cooks. It all stems from there. Our EggFests have grown in size each year. And if you know a dealer near you, it is their best interest to have one. We have had a lot of luck selling Demos as well as new Eggs that day. Let me know if you have any other questions.

... Let me know if you have any other questions.

    I do have a few???

After looking at the mothership website (eggfest links) I see entrance fees all over the place from $5 to $40. not sure how they can have such a big difference in price.

How many cooks are you looking for to have a successful event?

How are the different towns to work with (permits for the cooks)?

I see that most events have 15-20 eggs, how do the all the cooks have time to cook? Do some bring an egg to cook on? Not sure if anyone is slow cooking a brisket???

We charged $10 per person or $25 for a family. We donated the proceeds to a local Food Pantry so it was a win-win situation.

We had about 15 cooks this year. We probably need a few more next year because of the demand for food from all of the people.

We had to get an event permit from our city. Just filled it out and sent it back and we were good. Liquor license is a different story. We invited a local winery that came and sold their beer and wine.

We had 20 Eggs fired up this year at our EggFest. Those 20 Eggs are all pre-sold to customers. We do pork butts overnight so they are ready to go and same with brisket unless it is a smaller one that we can throw on in the AM. Otherwise, people usually do relatively quick cooks.

Any other questions, fire away. Glad to help!
