    This is cool, Donnie!
Can you give a some detail on the logistics? I'm thinking of doing something similar to raise funds for a JDRF ride I'm doing for my daughter. Any info and pointers would be great.

Great that you have been so busy and thanks for making the time to post the above.  I'm sure it will be quite a success.  Just keep the XL in the overload cook mode.

  • Hello Donnie.  Where is Ma Tillers catering?  Is it in Ghent or there in Carrollton somewhere?  I'll be sure to call some in for our crew at the warehouse ( If this old brain doesn't forget).  Hope it goes over well for you.

Thanks everyone for the generous words.

Tbent   I'm keeping good records, so yes, I'll be glad to send you a package when it's over.  For 300 meals, costs are about $750 and profit will be about $2400.  Not too shabby for several hours work on a Saturday and a couple XL BGE Loads of Turbo Butt !!!!!

FarmerTom   Ma Tillers is located in Carrollton, I will have signs up at the intersections of the High School entrance and 227, and on Highland Ave in front of Snappy Tomato Pizza.

    YukonRon    Thank you my friend!

Fundraiser turned out as expected.  Sales were $2315.  Costs were $725.  Made a little profit, for the ministry.  Got pork butts at $1.14 at Sams.  Some beans and pickles, etc donated by church. Overall very good turnout.  I'll post a speadsheet when I get finished compiling every detail.

    Thanks folks,

    DD

dldawes1 egged up some good pork and put together a good lunch.  I'm glad it went over well for you Donnie.  I didn't think you would be able to sell out 10 Boston Butts worth of pulled pork that quickly.
