Any Knife Experts Out There?

I found this pretty damned sharp knife in a resell shop and was intrigued by it. The inscription on one side says "Raaen", with a serial number on the other side. I'm guessing it's from the Raaen knife folks in Tennessee. I don't have any idea what it's main use is, other than to cut something!! Does anybody know anything about these knives?
