This is my first time with a 5 lb prime rib on my new Egg. Any cooking suggestions/tips (searing, dome temp, time, beef temp) that don't involve indirect cooking, drip pan, etc.? Just a straight-up direct blaze and roast would is cool.[p]grazie

Genny Screamer,
How about Big Nat's Prime Rib Roast recipe? Go to submitted recipes under beef.

Genny Screamer,
Here's a link to Mad Max's version. While he used a platesetter, I see no reason why you couldn't just do the roast direct.[p]Ken

Genny Screamer,
Mine start out low and slow at a 250 dome and remove the roast at 125 for a 15 minute rest. Bring the heat up to sear the roast to your liking.

Thanks to all for the advice.
