Nice score.

Isn't it amazing what you can find?!!! Bet you laughed all the way home!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

1 dollar and a bit of elbow grease and that will be something to treasure for generations. Very nice.I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

Sweet score!

Helluva deal man. People go nuts for the lids, and they can easily go for at least double what the skillet would get.BrandonQuad Cities

That's awesome! Love finding a gem at garage/yard or estate sale!Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

Nice! Not as good as my 11 piece Le Creuset set for 50 bucks, but still nice.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I will give you $2? Nice find the lid is nice. It's a large block label so probably from around the 40's is my guess without looking it up. Believe that was the end of the good metal griswolds.

Awesome find. I love my Griswolds. I've got you beat on the price though; I inherited mine!

My brother swears by his Griswold and Wagner stuff.
Didn't they MERGE sometime in the 50s before going under?
Lodge is the sole survivor and LAST to be established. Late 1800s, IIRC.
Any market for old Lodge? I have a big skillet which is 30+ and my one, bought at the same time. -

Sure, it doesn't have the same collector value as the Wag / Gis though. Nothing wrong with Lodge - most of my collection is Lodge.Phoenix -
I need to start going to yard sales!!! Nice find!
