Do you remove metal grills and Woo for a clean burn? Is warping or melting a concern?

If you want it cleaned, leave it in. If you have a nicely "encrusted" =) cast iron grid and you want to keep the crust, remove the grid. If you leave it in, the awesome layer of crud will disappear, leaving you with the rust that is almost assuredly hiding under it.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
