BBQ sauce - recipe advice request

I've got some currant purée from fruit bushes in a relative's yard. I'm thinking of making a currant BBQ sauce to serve with smoked turkey. Does anyone have a favorite basic BBQ sauce recipe that might be adapted?  Thanks!

I have one for you but it will be tomorrow before I can post it. I'll post it here in this thread, if you still need it, you'll have it.

    Thanks,

    Donnie

@dldawes1 thanks Donnie that'd be great. I've probably got four cups or so to work with so I figure I'll try a few different things. I'm going to look through smoke and spice and the dinosaur BBQ book for some ideas. Never really made BBQ sauce, hoping to try a few this summer.
