Digiq guru and rain

I added a Digiq to my eggsessories yesterday.  Before using it on a long cook I thought I'd better try it just on the BGE to make sure that I know how to install and operate it.  I did not connect the food probe, just the temp probe.  I had it maintaining 235 degrees and went inside for a nap.  Little did I know, but it rained while I was inside.  The Digiq was off, I could not turn it back on.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Try putting it in a bag with rice for a few days and cross your fingers.

Thanks!  Worked just fine today.  We are looking forward to doing our first brisket.

@NPHuskerFL was the first one I saw with the rain proof electronics box.  Several folks have copied the idea (me included) and it's saved the day for us.  You can easily build on for less than $10.

I just put the controller and the connection to the extension cord in a plastic bag and the plastic bag has protected it so far. I put something heavy on the plastic bag so the wind does not blow it away.
