Self Rising vs Non Self Rising AP Flour
I saw the post from @stemc33 about a cobbler ( http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1174714/midnight-blackberry-cobbler-pic-heavy/p1 ) and I got to try this. The recipe calls for self rising AP flour. It looks like I can make my own with some baking soda and salt added to AP flour. Should I buy the pre-made or will adding the baking soda and salt work?
I'm dong a 18 lb brisket Saturday and this will be my dessert.
Thanks.

@bigguy136, that's what I did. Did you mean to say baking powder vs soda? I used baking powder.Steven

Baking powder it is. 1 cup AP flour, 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

@stemc33 correct. I did a quick internet search and saw I could make my own but I didn't have the website up when I started this topic.
Thanks everyone for confirming. I should have a new thread tonight about a 18 lb brisket and blackberry cobbler cook.
