Two 9 pound butts are ready for action tomorrow. Gotta try out the new toy. How long will two 9 pounders take? I am thinking around 12 hours maybe 14. At 235.

Good luck. Most of mine are done during the day, A #9 would be about 7-8 hours at 300 with time to FTC so 12 to 14 is good at 235.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I went and dug up a prior cook where I did two pork butts together. This was a two six pounder cook that I did at 225F. I've had bone in 9 pounders that I did at 230F that took less time than these and had some that took far longer, just really depends but overall I think you're a safe bet at 12-14 at 235.
