Something in an aluminum can

I was looking through the BGE website tonight in the publications section.  I came across a picture from a past Eggtoberfest which had something being egged in aluminum cans (like vegatable cans).  It looked like something was rising out of the can.  Does anyone know what it is?  It looks very interesting.

    I've seen a number of recipes for bread baked in a can. Could it be bread?
