I just received the BGE as a gift on Thursday, I couldn't wait to try it out.  Purchased a 7 lb butt  Thursday morning and put some rub on it, Friday @ 6:00 am it was on the BGE.  Thirteen and 1/2 hours later  @ 260 dome temp, and here is the finished product.  I was amazed how easy it was, next weekend going for the briskett.

    Well done, I pick up my Egg this Saturday and will be doing a similar Butt as my first cook, I hope I'm just as successful!

     I was amazed how easy it was. 
    I think that was my first reaction after years with a water smoker.
