...I realized I never sent in my card.  Where is this serial number?  My dome is so blackened from use, I can't see any printed info in there at all...

    All you legally need to make a warranty claim is your original receipt. Registration cards are not required.  They may be helpful, but not required.

    there is a registration form on line, serial number is in the dome inside now, was under the gasket long ago, and just penciled in for a while
    why is there discount store registration, and internet registration now

    The website says you must register, but the last time I looked into, they cannot legally require you to register.  Perhaps someone wants to research this again.  This seems to say they cannot require the card: Warranty Law

    Seriously... Discount store registration and online registration?? Hope this is just to collect info to cut off a distributor not using BGE dealers. Anything else and it's going to be very negative.

    I sent in my warranty card, is there a way to confirm that my BGE is registered?

    You would need to call BGE to see if they have your registration.  However, if you have your original receipt, then you will be ok.

    Yes their Customer Service is excellent, and I did keep my LBGE purchase material from California Backyard.  I think I registered it as well, but I kept all my original stuff.
