Turbo Butt question

I did 2 7 lb butts at 350 on Egg for 4 hours til internal temp was 160. Then double wrapped in foil in oven at 300 for 2 hours until internal temp was 200 then rest for 1 hour. Came out fine. Question - when I opened them up in the foil, the foil was full of liquid - several inches. As a result, my butts had been soaking in the liquid for some time and were somewhat greasy. Should I have created a way for them to drain while cooking in the oven for the last 2 hours?

You may try a roasting pan next time. That will keep it off the the pan. I am like you, not crazy about the greasy meat.
