Will rain on the probe wires of the maverick ruin them ? I know the plug end and the joint between the probe and wire should be kept dry.
If I put the remote in a waterproof box and the probe is in the egg and only the wire is exposed to rain will this work or not ?

What I have done is put the remote in a plastic baggy and hung that next to the egg, I have no
problems with moisture in the wires or maverick unit.

  • Same here...unit in zip lock bag on shelf next to egg in rain or snow. Wires are on their own in the elements and have always been fine.
  • Thanks guys!
