Smoke ring

To start off with I know it maybe be splitting hairs here but I have some questions. I know the smoke ring is a chemical reaction and I know that it doesn't add anything but appearance. My question to everyone is this. Is there any method? Or ingredient in a rub? To facilitate the forming of a smoke ring in the meat?
