Bare spots on lid

Just got an XL & noticed about a dozen dots about the size if a pin head that do not have glaze on them. The base does not seem to have this issue. Is this normal? Should I contact BGE to see about a replacement? What do you guys think?

    I have some of the pinhole spots on my large...they didn't bother me enough to contact BGE for any warranty claim.  I can say that I have had my large for over a year and it still looks like it did in the showroom and its rarely been covered.
