And I don't mean across the patio :). I have a large egg nested in the wood table with heavy duty casters. What do you recommend I do to prepare it for a 400 mile move to our new house. I wrote BGE customer service last week and haven't received an newer, Thanks

I would leave it in table but put wedges between tabe and egg for support! I would remove casters so it doesn't move. I would use bungee to hold the lid down. I would pack the inside of the eggs with old rags or crumple up news paper so nothing inside of it moves arround!

I moved mine last summer.  I took mine out of the table.  Take the innards out and put them in old towels/blankets/sheets.  I then put the egg in the corner of the back of my truck and strapped it in tightly.  I bungeed the lid closed with a oven mitt in-between base/lid so it wouldn't rattle.  It traveled just fine.
