My large EGG needs a brother.

My large egg needs a brother but can't decide if it should be a big brother or one of the smaller brothers.
Generally cooks for four of us, but will soon be reduced to three(one is college bound.. can't say what I'm thinking). We entertain twice a year but may do it more often. I'm not a math major but is there a formula I'm missing?
What is the collective thinking?
Thanks in advance.

Most who have a large usually get a small. Myself included.
-
I have a Large. It would be nice to have a Small as a companion cooker. What I would REALLY like is another Large and a Small.
-
The large is nice but I use my small most of the time.

I just have a medium and I think it would do for three. My boss has a medium and it is him, his wife a preschooler and a first grader. That said a small might do since you have the large as backup for larger cooks. A small could be used for tailgating also. I saw a guy who built a two sided travel box: if you used the hole on one side it was a traveling case but the hole on the other side maded it a travel table/stand.

I'm wondering about the formula you have found that points you to the "brother". I definitely could use this unbiased data to influence the better half. With a large and no heavy demands other than the ones I create it covers the requirements and more.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Another vote to add a small. The large and small combo is terrific tag team. BTW I use my small 60 to 65% of all my cooks - don't let its size fool you it is a versatile, great little cooking machine!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Go with a second large all your eggcessories will inter change.

That in itself would do it for me, 2Fat.

My large got a small and then the small got a miniLarge, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx

Got the large first. Then the small. Work well, once the small was taught the rules of engagement:
Combination works very well for me! -
I bought the large, then small, then mini, and finally medium. I wish it would have been large, mini, medium, and then maybe just skip the small all together. The small was my favorite over the large until I got the medium and mini. The mini is great for one or two man grilling. The medium is perfect for my family of five. And the medium temp control is so much more versatile than the small.
Opinions are vastly different around here on the small, but for me, the cost isn't justified when the medium is a much better cooker. (I am now prepared for the small defense team!  ) -

A large in a table and a large in a nest.

Large got a younger Medium, then a Small
Suggest a medium -
Bet that small doesn't look that pristine now. :woohoo: :laugh:Large, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx

Not even! It's gotten a bit of use. It's not as black as the large, but it's getting there!

The answer to my orignal question is that whatever size I decide on I can't go wrong."Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you up with experience!"
