With just over 2 weeks left to go, the Sunshine State Eggfest will be here. I thought I would bring you all up to speed.
We have been sold out of cooks now for a few weeks.
Tasters tickets are still available but we do expect to be sold out before the fest. I talked with Tom from the host hotel, he tells me there are only 11 rooms left at the discounted price and that will end this Sat. If you call them, make sure you tell them you are with the eggfest. The teams for the Ceramic Iron Chef have been selected by drawing and have been notifed. (I don't even know who they are) So it looks like this weekend LC and I will be starting to pack up the trailer and do some final shopping ...Are you set to go?.. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

If you are bringing your egg, please tell me how many and what size. It will help big time in mapping out the deck for this year. See you in the sunshine...

    Morning Michelle:

Thanks (don't expect to be there by then!)!

As of now we still plan on coming over on Thursday, but it may depend on whether Kathy is working by then...she got laid off 3 weeks ago and has an interview for another position tomorrow...if she is offered the job, not sure yet if she can get off Thursday & Friday of that week...worse case is we will come over on Friday...looking forward to a FUN weekend!

    Have a GREAT day!

Working to finish the Grand Raffle Prize Egg Table. Big snow storm today so I'm staying home, I'll be in the workshop making sawdust.
My tables are knock down. Here are a few pic's of how a leg is joined to the stretcher tenon. This is called a "keyed" mortis and tenon joint, my version of classic Arts and Crafts style. Sure is fun to put together.

Thanks Mike. Diana and I are looking forward to seeing you again. Mike, I think this is my best table ever and hope you will like it when it's all said and done. The table top is going to be special, getting started on that this morning.

Wow!! I'll bet that's going to be amazing! Your home shop must be pretty impressive to be able to do all the things you do......not to mention user skill!
