The dfmt was very loose and really didn't control anything. It wouldn't sit flat on the dome so I ground down the raised parts inside the top so it would slide down more. The screw that holds the daisy wheel on was sticking through about 1/4 inch so I cut it off too. Now it fits nice and snug. :)







I know it probably won't make any difference with the kind of cooks I'll be doing but at least it don't rattle around when I lift the dome. :)

    It may give you better air flow control and stay on better when opening the dome. I have a dfmt for my large that don't fit right and I have worked on it a time or two. Happy egging. :)

    I gaurentee it will make a big difference JoJo. Mine leaks in a bad way. I usually end up closing the lower door and it still runs hot.

    JoJo, made the same changes to mine but also added a piece of gasket to the top of the vent. Now to rework the old weber cart to a mini table and work station.
