Past cook using Alton's 2 hour vinegar/mustard brine on a hen. Brining is our friend.

Meanwhile, back in Cypress,Texas...Timeline...Yesterday afternoon, Chubby tells me that his plan is to leave the house by 8:30 this morning. 9:45 this morning, I call and they are in the kitchen cooking breakfast...."Well", I says,...It's just a bit after 8:30 for Desert Oasis Woman and Cookin' Biker,....and it's 45 minutes until Smitty sees 8:30. But you are already 1 hour and 15 minutes late in leaving the house if we are going by Texas time!" Jumbled reply.

As the morning progresses, I am cleaning, shopping pampering like royalty is coming. 2:15pm (Texas time), I call and get the word that they have just passed through Katy. That's about 20 minutes from his front door. If this were a weekday,...tomorrow's mail would be here before he is. Time for a nap...I've certainly got time.

Man! Looks like that chicken lost a leg somewhere down the line. Sure don't remember that. I'm certain there is an explanation, but I sure don't have it.

That was a past meal, and thank you, it was good. Never, never prepare a meal, or anything perishable, for Chubby until you see the yellow of those evil, squinty, little eyes.

Well this is Evans we are talking about. He answers when he wants....leaves when he wants.... but geez. I thought Huff time ran late. Sounds like Tabor time is measured in days not hours

If Evans was married to my wife,...they would be lost in an eternal time warp. By the time they got there,... wherever there might would already be history. Of course, I didn't just say that.

the good thing about those time warps is it takes years for them to hear what you said when you said it if it even exists when the message arrives :woohoo:

You could have already been here! How about dia despues de manana por panzon? Verdad?

  • Here's a tip on handling ole Chubby...don't try.

The more you try to hurry him up, the slower he gets.

He's a turtle that dosen't like to be rode. -LOL

Thank goodness we're going out! Here's where. Low key in SA tonight, but should be fun. However, they do close at 10. Hope he's here by then.
