  • Mother's Day Feast

We had 11 over for Mother's Day, including mom, grandmother, and mother in law. We feasted and it was good!
  • Burgers, pineapple, and avacado

Grilled some burgers along with pineapple and avacado. The avacado was a first for me. Little olive oil, salt and pepper, and some lemon juice after I took them up. Tasted great, very buttery.
  • Re: Pulled Pork Pizza

I was tempted to put some pineapple on there as well, but it was full enough as is. I thought the goat cheese paired nicely.
  • Pulled Pork Pizza

Used my leftovers from my pork butt the other night and made a couple pies.

First was the pulled pork pizza: basil infused olive oil, sweet baby rays BBQ sauce, pork, cheese, sautéed onions, goat cheese, and purple onion. Excellent.

Second was just a typical pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Hard to beat, in my opinion.
  • Family Dinner - Pork Butt and the works

My sister and her two little ones came in from Birmingham for a visit, so I had to treat them to a good meal.

We had 8lb pork butt rubbed with a 50/50 split of Dizzy Dust and Red Eye Express plus a little turbinado sugar. Grilled at 230-240 for 18 hours. Sides were grilled pineapple with Dizzy Pig Pineapple Head, crock pot mac and cheese, and spinache and strawberry salad with candied walnuts.
