Best part of the Egg is it don't care what the temp is. If you're having a hard time getting temps up, make sure your ashes are cleaned and you have good air flow. Often small pieces of lump will work their way to the fire great and block the holes. Living in Canada, I grill all winter way below freezing and it works like it does in summer.
LS, those were delicious. Loved the peanut cashew sauce. The recipe cards were also awesome. If I had 1 complaint about Eggfest, and complaint may be a harsh word, was that I tried so many good things, but nobody else had their recipe/methods available. I have to rely on my terrible memory for cook details.
I used to be in awe of people who made homemade pasta as well. For me, going out for a good dinner was not to a steak house, but to an Italian joint who made their own pasta. But really, if you have a stand mixer, and a few bucks to spend on a non-Eggcessory, it's so easy, and so worth it. Cheers all!
