What kind of rub is that?

I wanted to try it before saying in case it sucked but I really liked it. I used equal parts of course sea salt, black pepper and garlic. My ration is a tablespoon of each per 5 lbs of meat.

OMG! That thing is huge. I'm sure you will be posting photos as you go and I will again be jealous of your cook.
  • Starting Memorial day weekend Early

I took Friday off and was going to take a long bike ride but it looks like rain most everywhere I want to go sooooo, I stopped at the butcher and got a 18 lb brisket, 20 lbs of pork butt, pork belly and pork chops to go with some pizzas and smoked Mac and cheese. That should keep me busy. The pork chops were just being cut so I got 4 at 1.25" thick. I couldn't wait so 2 went on the mini-max for dinner. It's going to be a great weekend.

I can't wait for peaches to get to Minnesota so I can start grilling them. Maybe I need to wait so I can forget how great your dinner looks as my grilled peaches won't compare.
    As usual, everything looks great.
  • Re: Stoker Home Made Probe Extenders

Great idea. Do you have a parts list?

I used a 25' cold weather extension cord (cut into 3 equal lengths), the boxes are from my local hardware store but should be available at every hardware store. It's just a junction box. I removed the cover and drilled 4 holes in it. I found all metal 3.5mm stereo connectors on-line. I soldered all wire connections and never cut the wire. Maybe using wire connectors would work but I didn't want to chance it and I'm too cheap to buy them :-)
