Looks great! Beautiful color to the steak. Interested in knowing more about the plantains. This is on the list of SWMBO. We had some plantains in Miami and she was hooked.
Sliced, smashed with a glass.   Fried, let them rest and then fried again....I can't get enough of fried plantains.
  • Re: I'm just going to trust the Egg

Interesting, I've never had issues with my Egg maintaining a temp.  NO matter what I'm cooking it stays rock steady within a 10 degree +/-

I see you served it on your finest China. Burgers and the potato salad look great. So you just had them ground up the brisket flat? I was at the store the other day and thought long and hard about picking up a whole packer brisket to grind up for burgers, but then I remembered we need to eat some more sausage and other stuff to empty out the freezer more before I try that.
Yeah I just used the brisket flat.  That's all Whole Foods has.   The only place I can find a whole packer is at Walmart and I don't go in there often if at all.

The taste was just something indescribable!

That looks great, however, I am quite disgusted by that Alabama handle you have....<SMH>

He's been an EggHead for a long time and often refers to it as his "ceramic cooker". Likely due to licensing or maybe sponsors.
Yeah, he has used it on his BBQ show for a few seasons.  Michael Symon is another one who loves his BGE he'll show many of his cooks at his house on his BGE especially pizza.  But anytime you run into a world chef like that their choices of ingredients aren't usually something I can come across on my normal trip to Kroger :)
