Hmmmmm......on it.  Will check on it tomorrow.
  • Re: Royal Oak!

@henapple I have not tried Rockwood. I have not seen it in my area - St. Aug/Jacksonville Fla. I am not opposed to giving it a try though.
Your local Ace Hardware should be able to order it for you.  You're right on the line between the Tampa warehouse and the Loxley, AL warehouse.......any store restocked by Loxley can order it.  The farther north the more likely you are to find a store that can order it.  I saw on my list a store in Ferdandina Beach ordered some bags.
  • Re: Stainless Steel Vented Chimney Cap?

Send me an email through my website and I'll hook you up with one. I'm also a dealer for PitmasterIQ. I produce the SS304 high temp fire grates as well as a few other products for the egg. Free shipping for anyone on the board here. Wish I could do that with the charcoal, but those rates are ridiculous.

Quick question: if the Nov-Feb kilns are the best, does that mean that the best time to buy lump would be in those months or some time after?

There's really no telling since every charcoal company operates differently.  Some shut down altogether over the winter.  We just pull whichever pallet is closest to the door--that's what goes out first.  Some may use the FIFO method (first in, first out); some may JIT (just in time) delivery.  Who knows.

If you want some of our "Winter 2014 Vintage" out of my private reserve, just shoot me an email in a few months.  I'll tell the guys to load the specific pallets vs. whatever is closest.
