  • Re: Ot-KBQ questions-Ot

Sent you a PM but I love mine. All that is said above is accurate.
ozzie- the backwoods is a charcoal insulated box just like an egg. Bigger and square but the same idea. A low smoldering fire with smoldering chunks or chips and  a set if and forget it mentality. The KBQ is a stick burner. That's where you would notice the difference in flavor. You don't get the true stick burner flavor from a choked down fire with smoldering chunks
  • Re: Frontline gone? interesting article.

oh my god- I was looking for something else and ran into a meltdown from 2010 with all the old school guys. Hilarious. Had to be from the other forum. Humphrey, Massengill, WessB, Chubby aand many more. Paragraphs of explanation and counterpoint were written. You can tell this was the era before texting was so popular.  You think it's unmoderated now? Ha! Threats of violence not seen since the "SGH Incident" and the rubmyrock fiasco of 2013-ish. pure greatness.

Did the phrase "drop you where you stand" appear in that thread?

    That was a low point

    that was precorporate though.

I could understand BGE wanting to clean up their 'official' forum, especially at a time of year when there is an uptick in new members/owners

but they don't appear to have any real rhyme or reason
just got to that. My afternoon is shot.

    Anyone know what that is?
If you do, no need to 'splain. If you don't, you prob'ly wouldn't care.

Nothing big, but been wanting one for a while

I'm a knife and edge tool nut. What is it?
I'm thinking it is a leather paring knife. Used in book binding and when making assless chaps.
Do you buy them "with ass" and then use this tool to remove the offending item or do you make them that way from scratch with this?
He knows better than anyone that all chaps are assless. Assed chaps are pants
  • Re: MiniMax or Mini-Meh?

That's sweet that you and VI shared a rib. Which one of you was "Lady" and which one was "The Tramp"?

What about a slightly shorter Woo?
Still think BGE missed the boat by not using a larger fire grate for better air flow in the MM.
I switched out the original fire grate for a ka basket to get better airflow. Couldn't get it over 400 with the stock fire grate. Little better now. Seems a shorter woo would be better for me.
