  • Re: 2015 Rub & Sauce Exchange - Show Off Thread

Huge Huge thanks to @KiterTodd for putting together a very thoughtful package.  2 pages accompanied the box with a line item description of how he uses each item and why he likes it.  There is stuff in here from New Mexico to Colorado to his favorite vacation place!!

It didn't stop there!  There was a grill brush that has been mentioned here on the forum recently so he threw that in for good measure along with some wood chips and pamphlets on the adobe milling sauces with recipes.  Just a super awesome box.  Thanks so much Todd!!!

I couldn't wait to try something so I used your favorite vacation sauce on some pork chops.  It was so funny because my youngest daughter doesn't like anything spicy.  She said it was too spicy for her.  And proceeded to eat everything on her plate!  Yes!  My wife said the same thing and couldn't stop dipping in it for extra sauce on each bite.  So awesome!!

Love that char on those.  Looks great!
  • Re: Has anyone ever cooked ribs and reheated several days later?

I vacuum seal my leftover ribs and put them in boiling water in the sealed bag for about 10 minutes.  Retains the moisture and isn't overly smokey.  Taste like they just came off the grill.
  • Re: Ain't no thang but a chicken wang

    Yeah, those look fantastic!
  • Re: All kidding and razzing aside what do you have against Royal Oak?

People don't like it because it is widely available and you can pick it up at Wal Mart.  Unless you buy your charcoal by the pallet driving for two days in your truck you aren't one of the cool kids.
