WOW!! We brought home the demo egg on Saturday.  Today was the first time I got to try it out!  IT IS AMAZING!!  I'm waiting for some stuff to ship from the ceramic grill store, so right now I don't have a platesetter.  I grilled chicken legs - I used a brick wrapped in tin foil to elevate the legs.  They were the best BBQ'd chicken I think I have ever had!  Tonight is grilled salmon, baked potatoes, and corn on the cob!  It's just fun to use!!

It has legs - and yes I got a free flashlight as well!  The thing weights about 20 lbs.  I'll let you know how it does.  Trying it out within the next week.
  • Re: Wok Question

Maybe I should donate this one and get one more suited for the egg.  Or maybe I'll try to cut the wood off the handles.  I think the spider may be in my future shortly!
  • Re: Pizza - I can't do any better than last night

    The pies look amazing!
  • Re: Eggless

I came home from Mexico with a parasite that laid me up for about 5 days.  During that time, I was fine as long as I didn't eat or get out of bed.  So I did a lot of searching the web.  I really liked the brick oven pizza I had in Mexico.  The web lead me to the egg for that.  I started stalking the forum and gathering a ton of information.  I missed grilling - we had thrown away our gasser years before.  I was intrigued that one unit could be an oven, grill, smoker and could possibly outlive me.  It took me a year to finally purchase one at an eggfest.  That was this past May.  I have the large and I love it.  Use it whenever I get the chance.  It's quickly becoming a member of the family!
  • Re: Your opinion on good birthday present to ask for

Well this certainly is entertaining!  Great pre-birthday humor!!  Although, sadly, the mangrates will have to wait.  Now I'm thinking maybe the heat gun - I'm still using the BGE starter cubes.  I like them, but it takes pretty long to get things going.
