  • Re: Chick-fil-a

I support anyone expressing their honest opinion. Now days if you do that and happen to be on the conservative side of an argument, you are a racist, neo-nazi, neanderthal, and homophobic. I like their attitude. Have nothing against peaceful people anywhere.
  • Re: Anyone Had Hip Replacement Surgery?

Had my left hip replaced last November. Was done with therapy after 7 weeks. On cane after 2 weeks. I am 66 and frankly they said I recovered in record time. I am 5'9" tall and weighed in at 210 at the time - Down from that now as i am more mobile.

Simple bottom line - DO THE THERAPY at HOME as much as they say or more. a 1 hour trip 3 times a week for rehab will not get you back to normal. My wife had both hips done in 2012. She is doing fine.

Do the rehab and just be smart about what you can and cannot do. The only thing I needed pain killers for after week 2 was to sleep. Most of the pain was from the incisiion - lets face it, there is a lot of cutting. Follow orders, do home rehab therapy. You will be fine.
  • Re: OT: The Missing Plane... Gov't Conspiracies?!!

The shame of it with all our technology is that it could go missing, And then, the whole world cannot find it. All these friends and relatives not knowing what happened to the people. Pretty sad state of affairs.
  • Re: Pictures of SS EggFest 2014

Great photos. Now I am depressed about getting my calendar dates messed up and missing it! Next year, we will be THERE!
  • Re: OT. What size house do you live in?

1800 SF on main floor.   Basement finished so another 1400 SF.   We had 3 kids and are now empty nesters so, plenty big for us.    BUT the kids come home with spouses and grandkids (3) so then we are happy to have this size house.   Very blessed to say the least.
You know, when you say blessed - this is so true. Some folks will never own a home of their own and some in these tough times may have lost theirs. I sit here in my house complaining about 5 degree weather with my stove going and the egg covered with snow and the pool cover full of snow and the pizza oven covered with snow... I am so lucky, I think eggers are blessed to afford pricey toys. I worked hard for it, but still.... very blessed indeed.
