  • Re: Calling @badinfluence

Way to bring the food truck scene to eastern Iowa @badinfluence! My Dad (also an Iowan) is 69 and still trucking. You've got a passion and a plan! Good luck in your new venture. I'm excited for you and your wife and can't wait for updates on your project.
  • Re: OT but can be done on a BGE

That looks like a great Winter meal. Simple and delicious. I'll bet it would be good baked on the BGE too. Maybe just a hint of smoke.
  • Re: WTB Medium/Large egg

The other thing you can run into is while the egg still basically looks the same, you may not be able to get the exact right parts if something cracks. I used to have a medium egg that was older and it had a cracked firebox. I was told that the new firebox would not fit due to a design change. In that case, I would have to replace the base AND firebox which would have cost a lot of cash. I ended up selling it "as-is" and got my money out of it.

I would only buy new with warranty at this point. I would check around for an eggfest for a discounted demo with warranty or a year-end closeout at a dealer if you want a deal.
  • Re: New Baby Girl!

Congratulations @Lit and Mrs. Lit! My lil guy is 11 mos. old today and while he's a lot of work, I haven't smiled this much my whole life! She's absolutely adorable. Make sure you take some paternity time and smoke a lot of meat. Trust me, you'll be up all night to watch your fire but it gets easier and more fun everyday. Again, congrats.

@minniemoh‌ Thank you for the kind words my friend. If it makes you feel any better I was 89 when I got this one. Some one other than me will be the one to wear it out.
